Born in China and educated on the Mainland as well as Hong Kong and the US, Min Lai has dedicated the past 15 years of her career to digital and eCommerce across APAC, specifically Greater China, leading digital transformation, running digital branding campaigns, launching and optimising direct eCommerce sites and third-party eCommerce platforms such as Amazon, and incorporating her passion for data-driven digital strategies.
An early adopter of eCommerce platforms in China for international brands, she and her team have launched more than 10 flagship stores on Tmall, JD, Red and other major platforms. Having five consecutive target-beating 11.11 events, five mid-year sales, and Super Brand Days under her belt, she is an expert in the Chinese eCommerce ecosystem and understands the intricacies and rules of each platform.
Leading the digital and CRM team at L’OCCITANE and being part of the digital evolution in the companies she has worked for, she understands the internal and external challenges and has first-hand experience working with various departments and country teams within the company. She has successfully managed external agencies, orchestrating the smooth execution of digitalisation. From omni-channel retail experience consistency, expanding the customer base, and building loyalty, data-driven approaches have played a crucial part.
